Role & responsibilities
1. Operations Cost Management • Analyse COGS, conversion costs, material cost variances, and manufacturing variances. • Provide insight of Purchase price variance through purchase order and Material Usage Variance , Overhead variance posting through Process Order execution for Plants. • Provide insights on capacity utilization, yield, throughput, and operational KPIs. • Drive cost optimization across manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and procurement. • Track and report direct/indirect costs, including manpower, utilities, packaging, and overheads. 2. Inventory, Working Capital • Governance frameworks for inventory visibility, accuracy, and valuation across plants, warehouses, and third-party locations. • Manage and monitor inventory accuracy, aging, slow-moving stock, and provisioning. • Monthly inventory health reviews covering o Aging analysis o Slow-moving and non-moving material o Safety stock vs actual stock o Shelf-life driven risks • Manage and monitor inventory accuracy, aging, slow-moving stock, and provisioning. • Drive reduction in: o Excess inventory o Obsolescence o Blocked/quality-hold stock o Scrap/write-offs • Ensure correct & timely inventory provisioning aligned with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Analyze consolidated results, identify variances, and prepare management commentary. • Assist in preparation of MIS reports, dashboards, and financial presentations for senior management. • Support budgeting and forecasting processes from a consolidation perspective. 3. Audit Support & Controls • Ensure controls for: o GRN/IR processes o Material movement & tracking o BOM/routing accuracy o Material consumption norms o Cycle count & physical verification o Consignment inventory • Ensure compliance for supply chain and inventory cycles. • Partner with internal/external auditors on: o Inventory audits o Process walkthroughs o Variance investigation 4. Monitor Key KPIs • Inventory Days / Inventory Turns • Slow-moving / Non-moving inventory % • Inventory write-off % of COGS • Cash Conversion Cycle • Logistics cost per unit. • Procurement savings delivered • Forecast accuracy & bias
5. Process Improvement • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and wastages to drive: o Lower manufacturing costs o Higher Machine & labor productivity • Quantify the financial impact of all CI initiatives • Automation and ERP enhancements, BI Tools
