Role & responsibilities

Core

4+ years of experience building and shipping production React Native apps on iOS and Android.

– Expert in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

– Strong understanding of React Native architecture — bridge, JSI/Fabric (New Architecture), and Hermes engine.

– Proficient with React hooks and custom hook patterns; experience with React Navigation / Expo Router.

– Strong proficiency in Git — branching strategies, rebasing, resolving conflicts, pull request workflows, and maintaining a clean commit history.

State Management

– Proficient with Redux (Redux Toolkit), Zustand, and React Context API (useContext, useReducer) — with the ability to choose the right tool based on complexity and scale.

– Strong understanding of data flow across screens and global app state — including shared state, derived state, and inter-screen communication patterns.

– Experience managing offline state and local persistence using AsyncStorage, MMKV, or equivalent — ensuring a consistent UX in low/no connectivity scenarios.

API & Integrations

– Deep experience with REST APIs — auth flows (OAuth 2.0, JWT, refresh tokens), error handling, and offline states.

– Solid experience with authentication and login methods — including Microsoft, Google, Apple, and other third-party identity providers, along with session management and token handling.

– Hands-on with GraphQL (Apollo Client / urql) — queries, mutations, subscriptions.

– Exposure to real-time communication patterns — WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, and background task handling.





– Hands-on experience with Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) and/or Sentry or Datadog for monitoring, crash reporting, and performance tracking.

Cross-Platform & Native

– Solid grasp of iOS and Android platform differences — permissions model, app lifecycle, UI conventions, background execution, and OS-level APIs.

– End-to-end experience with push notifications on both platforms — FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) for Android and APNs for iOS, including setup via Firebase, Azure Notification Hubs, or direct APNs integration, handling foreground/background/killed states, and notification payloads.

– Familiar with App Store and Google Play release processes, deep linking, universal links, app signing, and OTA updates (Expo EAS / CodePush).

– Experience with Expo (managed & bare) and React Native CLI; able to write and integrate native modules in Swift/Kotlin when required.

Performance Optimization

– Proficient with Flipper, React DevTools Profiler, Xcode Instruments, and Android Profiler.

– Skilled in list virtualization (FlatList, FlashList), memoization, lazy loading, and bundle optimization.

AI-Augmented Development

– Actively uses AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) as part of daily workflow.

– Uses AI for code review assistance, debugging, test generation, and documentation — with sound judgment on output quality.

Testing & Code Quality

– Experience with Jest, React Native Testing Library, and E2E tools (Detox / Maestro).

– Enforces clean code standards via ESLint, Prettier, and structured PR reviews.
