1. Role Overview
The Associate Manager Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the customer base, and managing key accounts. The role involves business development, customer relationship management, and achieving sales targets while ensuring alignment with market trends and organisational goals.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve assigned sales targets (volume & revenue)
- Identify and develop current business opportunities in OEMs, fabricators, projects, and dealer segments
- Drive market expansion for stainless steel / industrial products
- Conduct regular field visits and generate leads through networking and market intelligence
B. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
- Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service and issue resolution
- Regularly visit key customers for feedback and business development
- Develop long-term strategic customer partnerships
C. Pricing & Commercial Management
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts within company guidelines
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends
D. Technical & Product Support
- Understand product specifications (grades, sizes, applications in steel/metals)
- Provide technical support to customers on product suitability
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams for order execution
E. Sales Planning & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts and pipeline reports
- Track sales performance and market trends
- Submit MIS reports and updates to management
- Analyse gaps and implement corrective actions
