Senior FinOps Analyst
Location: Bangalore, IN
Sapiens is on the lookout for a Senior FinOps Analyst sits within the Cloud Services Office (CSO) FinOps Demand Management function, reporting to the Director of FinOps. This is a critical, data - driven role responsible for governing cloud financial performance, enabling demand transparency, and driving cost optimisation across the organisation. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of finance, technology, and business operations ensuring cloud investments are aligned, accountable, and delivering measurable value.
What you ll do:
- FinOps Governance Cloud Cost Management: Lead cloud financial governance owning cost visibility, optimisation, forecasting, anomaly detection, and accountability for cloud spend across all business units.
- Demand Management Capacity Forecasting: Define and lead the demand intake process ensuring alignment between business priorities, resource requests, and cloud execution capacity.
- Reporting Executive Insights: Produce and maintain monthly FinOps reports covering cloud spend, budget variance, forecast accuracy, and optimisation progress for executive leadership and C - suite stakeholders.
- Cross - Functional Collaboration Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between the CSO team and Finance (PL), engineering leads, and operations stakeholders on all matters of cloud cost and demand.
- What to Have for this position: Must have Skills: Education Certifications: Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. FinOps Certified Practitioner (FinOps Foundation) preferred; cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) are a strong advantage. Skilled Experience: 4 - 7 years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management,
or a related function within a technology or cloud - native environment. Demonstrated track record of cloud cost optimisation, with measurable outcomes and a focus on budget adherence. Experience with demand management, resource planning, or operational governance in a cloud services context. Proven ability to produce executive - level financial and operational reporting for senior stakeholders. Familiarity with FinOps tooling (e. g. CloudHealth, Apptio, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).

What Success Looks Like
1. Establish full visibility of cloud spend across all business units, with a baseline cost model and variance tracking in place.
2. Deliver the first monthly FinOps report to executive leadership clear, accurate, and decision - ready.
3. Implement a demand intake and prioritisation process that meets the 5 - 10 day SLA for assessment and decision.
4. Identify and drive at least one meaningful cost optimisation initiative contributing to the annual 10 - 15% savings target.
5. Be regarded as the go - to person for cloud cost transparency, demand data, and FinOps governance within the CSO team.
