We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with strong expertise in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), system testing, performance testing, and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in Linux environments and possess knowledge of QT-based applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery through functional and non-functional testing.

- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and commands
- Experience in Performance Testing (load, stress, scalability testing)
- Hands-on experience in Automation Testing (using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, etc.)
- Knowledge of QT framework / QT-based application testing
- Experience in System Testing and Non-Functional Testing (NFR)
- Understanding of defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Basic scripting/programming knowledge (Python, Shell, or similar) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills

Roles and Responsibilities

1. **Test Design and Development:**
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and technical specifications.
- Design and implement effective testing strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage of all features and functionality.

2. **Test Execution:**
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects and ensure that the software performs as expected.
- Conduct regression testing to validate recent changes and ensure that existing functionalities remain unaffected.

3. **Defect Management:**
- Log, track, and prioritize defects using defect tracking tools; collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.




- Validate fixes by re-testing the defects and ensuring the software meets quality standards before release.

4. **Automation:**
- Identify opportunities for test automation and create automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance the automation testing framework to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

5. **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide input regarding testability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to promote quality-driven development practices.

6. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Document testing processes, methodologies, and results to provide clear communication regarding software quality to the development team and management.
- Generate regular test reports, metrics, and analyses to evaluate testing progress and software quality.

7. **Continuous Improvement:**
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Proactively contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance overall software quality and testing efficiency.

8. **User Acceptance Testing (UAT):**
- Assist in the preparation and execution of user acceptance testing, ensuring that users’ requirements and expectations are met before software deployment.

9. **Risk Assessment:**
- Identify potential risks in the project lifecycle and communicate findings to stakeholders. Propose mitigations to minimize impact on deliverables.

10. **Mentoring and Training:**
- Offer guidance and support to junior test engineers and current team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a quality-oriented team environment.
