Job Description: Draftsman
Position: Draftsman (Mechanical / Manufacturing)
Experience Required: 2 to 3 Years
Software Requirement: AutoCAD 2D & 3D (Mandatory)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Draftsman who can prepare detailed manufacturing drawings for
sheet metal components, SS pins, and similar fabricated parts. The candidate must have an excellent
command of AutoCAD (2D & 3D) along with a solid working knowledge of GD&T; to ensure drawings
are accurate and manufacturing-ready. Exposure to CAD layout drawings for solar plant projects will be
an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing/production drawings for sheet metal parts, SS pins,
brackets, and other fabricated or machined components.

Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols and callouts correctly as per
design and quality requirements.
Create 3D models and assemblies in AutoCAD for new parts and design modifications.
Convert design concepts and sketches received from engineers or clients into accurate,
production-ready drawings.
Prepare bend diagrams, flat patterns, and sheet metal development drawings.
Develop and update CAD layout drawings for solar plant projects, including study layouts and
structure positioning.




Maintain drawing revision control, Bill of Materials (BOM), and proper documentation as per
company standards.
Coordinate with sales, production, quality, and design teams to resolve drawing-related queries.
Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards (ISO/ASME) and company drawing formats.
Maintain a library of standard parts, templates, and title blocks for reuse.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / ITI Draftsman in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or related field.
3 years of hands-on experience as a Draftsman in a sheet metal,sheetmetal nesting,
fabrication or manufacturing setup.
Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D (mandatory).
Strong understanding of GD&T; principles and their application on drawings.
Good knowledge of sheet metal design bend allowances, flat pattern development, K-factor,
etc.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and material specifications.
Positive attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple drawing tasks/deadlines.
Good to Have
Knowledge of SolidWorks/Inventor or other 3D CAD software.
Understanding of welding symbols and fabrication processes.
Experience working directly with production/shop floor teams.
