The Business Application Specialist is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise business applications used across the organization. The role involves configuring application settings, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting functional and technical issues, and ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of business systems.

The Business Applications Manager will oversee the portfolio of business application projects, ensuring delivery aligns with container shipping workflows. You will lead stakeholder communication, manage external software vendors, track project health, and verify deliverables to keep internal software deployments on time and within scope.

This role requires robust analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with enterprise applications, system integrations, and business process support.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Governance & Deliverable Tracking

- Track all business application project lifecycles.
- Define project KPIs and performance metrics.
- Audit and verify project milestones and deliverables.
- Conduct regular project status review meetings.
- Standardize project management methodologies across teams.
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analytical requests from management as required.

Software Vendor Management

- Manage relationships and deliverables of external software vendors.
- Review vendor software deliverables against technical scopes.
- Oversee third-party software SLAs and support contracts.
- Evaluate vendor performance throughout project lifecycles.

Stakeholder & Communication Management





- Lead communication across global and local stakeholders.
- Resolve conflicts and align expectations using sharp, clear communication.
- Manage expectations between IT and shipping business units.
- Apply container shipping knowledge to project scoping.

Requirements :

Qualification(s) – Bachelor’s degree in IT, Logistics, or Business field, Proven experience (4-6+ years) in Business application analyst, or implementation role.

Working Experience(s) – Proven experience (4-6+ years) in a business analyst, or implementation role. 4+ years in project management roles. 2+ years in managing a PMO team. 3+ years in team handling experience, Strong background in the container shipping / Maritime industry.

Core Competencies & Skills: Proven track record in software vendor governance. Sharp, high-impact verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional stakeholder management capability. Strong eye for auditing and validating technical project deliverables. Expertise in project tools like Jira or MS Project. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is an advantage
