Job Description: General Physician

Position: General Physician (MBBS, MD General Medicine)

Location: Mysore & Kushalnagar, Karnataka

License: Valid Medical License to practice in Karnataka

Language Requirement: Proficiency in Kannada (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Diagnosis & Care:

- Conduct thorough medical examinations and diagnose a variety of acute and chronic illnesses.

- Prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and lifestyle modifications.

- Manage patients with complex medical conditions, ensuring personalized care.

2. Preventive Healthcare:

- Provide preventive health consultations, screenings, and immunizations.

- Offer guidance on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle to promote overall well-being.

3. Communication & Counselling:

- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and medical procedures.

- Use Kannada fluently to ensure clear understanding and trust with local patients.

- Address patient concerns with empathy and patience.

4. Emergency & Critical Care:

- Respond to medical emergencies promptly, stabilizing patients and coordinating further care when required.

- Provide referrals to specialists for advanced treatment as needed.

5. Record Management & Compliance:

- Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records.

- Ensure compliance with medical protocols, hospital policies, and healthcare regulations.

6. Team Collaboration:





- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and administrative staff, to deliver holistic care.

7. Continuous Education:

- Stay updated on advancements in general medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:

- MBBS with specialization in MD General Medicine.

- Solid diagnostic skills and knowledge of general medical conditions and treatments.

- Proficiency in Kannada is mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build patient trust.

- Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

- Experience in managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases.

Work Environment:

- Hospital, clinic, or private practice setting.

- May involve shifts, including weekends, and occasional on-call duties.
