InDesign Paginator (Remote)

Compensation: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000/month (based on experience, finalized post-interview)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (mandatory login during these hours)

We are looking for a detail-oriented InDesign Paginator to join our production team. The role involves laying out advertiser-submitted content into our publication templates, ensuring accurate, error-free, and visually consistent pages for a weekly digital publication.

Key Responsibilities

- Layout and paginate weekly editions using Adobe InDesign, following established master page templates
- Place advertiser-submitted ads (images/PDFs) accurately into designated sections and page slots
- Maintain consistent formatting across masthead, category navigation bars, and section headers
- Ensure correct page sequencing, numbering, and category grouping
- Perform basic image resizing, cropping, and placement adjustments to fit ad dimensions without distortion
- Proofread and cross-check ad placement against the advertiser order sheet/booking list
- Flag missing, low-resolution, or incorrectly sized ad submissions to the sales team
- Export final interactive digital (PDF) versions of each weekly edition
- Maintain version control and backups of each week's working files
- Meet strict weekly production deadlines with zero tolerance for missed publishing dates
- Coordinate with the sales team remotely for last-minute ad changes or corrections
- Maintain a consistent visual quality standard across all pages per issue

Technical Responsibilities

- Proficient use of Adobe InDesign (master pages,



paragraph/character styles, grids, layers)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for basic image correction/optimization
- Understanding of PDF export settings (bleed, margins, color profiles - RGB, resolution/DPI standards)
- File management across templates, linked images, and fonts to avoid broken links on export
- Package management of InDesign files for handoff/archival (Package feature)
- Basic troubleshooting of font substitution, missing links, and overset text issues
- Familiarity with color modes (RGB for digital/ePaper output)
- Ability to work within pre-built grid systems without altering core template structure
- Comfortable using cloud storage/file-sharing tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) for remote file handoff

Requirements

- 0–2 years of experience in DTP/publishing/print production (freshers with strong InDesign skills may apply)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign mandatory; Photoshop preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under weekly deadline pressure
- Reliable internet connection and personal computer setup for work from home
- Must be available and logged in during working hours (9 AM–5 PM, Mon–Fri) without exception
- Good communication skills for coordinating remotely with the sales team

Probation Terms

- Duration: 3 months from date of joining
- Leave requests are not accommodated during the probation period, except where legally mandated
- Confirmation of employment and salary revision (if applicable) will be assessed at the end of probation based on performance

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
