The Fabric Supervisor is responsible for planning, monitoring, and coordinating fabric production activities from knitting through compacting, sample development, quality follow-up, and dispatch. The role ensures timely fabric availability while maintaining quality standards and coordinating with production, merchandising, stores, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Knitting Follow-up

- Monitor daily knitting production as per the production plan.
- Coordinate with knitting units to ensure timely fabric completion.
- Track machine-wise production status and efficiency.
- Follow up on pending knitting orders and production delays.
- Ensure required yarn is available before production starts.
- Update daily knitting production reports.

2. Compacting Follow-up

- Coordinate fabric compacting according to production schedules.
- Ensure GSM, width, shrinkage, and fabric appearance meet approved specifications.
- Follow up with processing units for timely completion.
- Monitor pending compacting orders and expedite urgent requirements.
- Maintain compacting status reports.

3. Sample Fabric Coordination

- Arrange sample fabrics for merchandising and buyer approvals.
- Ensure sample fabrics match required quality, GSM, width, color, and finish.
- Coordinate with knitting and processing departments for sample completion.
- Maintain records of sample requests and delivery timelines.
- Ensure timely dispatch of development samples.

4. Fabric Quality Follow-up

- Verify fabric quality before dispatch.
- Coordinate with the QA team to resolve defects.
- Follow up on fabric inspection reports.
- Ensure rejected fabrics are corrected or replaced.




- Maintain fabric quality records.

5. Fabric Dispatch Coordination

- Plan dispatch based on production priorities.
- Coordinate with stores, transporters, and garment units.
- Ensure correct fabric quantity, rolls, and documentation before dispatch.
- Prepare dispatch reports and update delivery status.
- Track fabric movement until receipt at the destination.

6. Production Planning & Coordination

- Coordinate daily with merchandising, production, stores, and processing teams.
- Monitor order-wise fabric availability.
- Prioritize urgent orders to avoid production delays.
- Ensure production targets are achieved on time.

7. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain production tracking sheets.
- Prepare daily production and dispatch MIS reports.
- Update pending order status.
- Maintain sample registers, dispatch records, and inventory details.
- Report production issues to management with corrective actions.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of knitted fabric manufacturing.
- Understanding of knitting, compacting, and finishing processes.
- Knowledge of GSM, width, shrinkage, and fabric quality parameters.
- Production planning and follow-up skills.
- Positive communication and coordination abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP, and production tracking systems.

Qualifications

- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Garment Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in knitted fabric production or fabric supervision.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
