Business Analyst with strong knowledge of US Regulatory Reporting to support regulatory change initiatives, reporting transformation programs, and data governance activities across banking and financial services domains. The ideal candidate will possess deep understanding of US banking regulations, regulatory reporting processes, data analysis, stakeholder management, and business requirement documentation.
The candidate will work closely with Regulatory Reporting teams, Finance, Risk, Technology, Data Management, and Compliance teams to deliver accurate and timely regulatory reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to US Regulatory Reporting.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, regulatory reporting teams, finance, risk, and technology teams to define reporting solutions.

Support implementation and enhancement of regulatory reporting platforms and reporting processes.

Analyze regulatory changes and assess business impacts across systems, data, and reporting workflows.

Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, process flows, and data mapping documents.

Perform gap analysis between current and target state reporting processes.

Work with data teams to define sourcing, transformation, reconciliation, and data quality requirements.

Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect management.

Assist in reconciliation and validation of regulatory reports and reporting data.

Coordinate with technology teams during development, implementation, and production support phases.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Support automation and process improvement initiatives for regulatory reporting.

Participate in governance meetings,



stakeholder discussions, and project status reporting.

Skills

Must have

Must Have: Robust experience as a Business Analyst/Data Analyst with experience in US reporting as well as writing SQL logic and packages for the developers to build the tables and views for the reporting purpose

Regulatory Reporting Knowledge

Strong understanding of US regulatory reporting frameworks including:

FR Y-9C

FR Y-14

Call Reports

FFIEC Reporting

Basel Reporting

Liquidity Reporting

CCAR / Stress Testing

Regulatory Capital Reporting

10-Q / 10-K reporting exposure (preferred)

Business Analysis Skills

Expertise in requirements gathering and documentation

Strong data analysis and data mapping experience

Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows

Gap analysis and impact assessment capabilities

Stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments

Technical Skills

SQL for data analysis and validation

Advanced Excel skills

Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts

Familiarity with reporting tools and regulatory platforms

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools

Domain Knowledge

Banking and Financial Services domain expertise

Understanding of Finance, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting data flows

Knowledge of data governance and reconciliation processes

Experience with AxiomSL

Knowledge of Python or data analytics tools

Experience in data lineage and data quality initiatives

Exposure to enterprise data governance frameworks

Nice to have

Experience with COREP / FINREP or other EBA regulatory reports.

Exposure to data platforms (e.g., SQL, Azure, Databricks).

Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
