About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of Azure-hosted environments. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, improve operational efficiency, and support business-critical cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain Azure cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Manage incidents, service requests, changes, and problem tickets using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool.
- Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure issues involving Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage, networking, DNS, and connectivity.
- Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, dashboards, and s.
- Implement and maintain Azure governance through Azure Policy, tagging, and compliance practices.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and drive preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, IAM, O365, Product, and other teams to resolve operational issues.
- Support infrastructure provisioning and operational readiness for Azure-hosted applications.
- Identify automation opportunities using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, or similar tools.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in Cloud or Infrastructure Operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure production environments.
- Experience managing Azure resources such as Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, App Services, Key Vault, Resource Groups, and Subscriptions.
- Positive understanding of Azure networking,
including VNets, Subnets, NSGs, UDRs, Private Endpoints, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, s, dashboards, and basic KQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Experience handling production incidents (P1/P2/P3), RCA preparation, and SLA management.
- Knowledge of Azure Policy, governance, cost management, and operational compliance.
- Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in multi-subscription or multi-tenant Azure environments.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Exposure to Microsoft Defender, SIEM, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, or similar security tools.
- Familiarity with Cloudflare, Palo Alto, or GlobalProtect.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) or Azure Automation and Logic Apps.
