Job Summary:

The Senior Secondary Economics Teacher is responsible for teaching Economics as per the CBSE curriculum to students of Classes XI and XII. The role focuses on building a solid conceptual understanding of microeconomics and macroeconomics, developing analytical skills, and preparing students for board examinations and future academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the CBSE Economics syllabus.
- Teach core topics such as Microeconomics (consumer behavior, demand & supply, market structures) and Macroeconomics (national income, money & banking, government budget, balance of payments).
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and case-study-based learning materials.
- Conduct periodic assessments, unit tests, and pre-board examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts as per CBSE marking schemes and provide actionable feedback.
- Train students in data interpretation, diagrammatic analysis, and application-based questions.
- Guide students in project work and internal assessments as prescribed by CBSE.
- Prepare students thoroughly for board exams with revision plans, mock tests, and exam strategies.
- Encourage discussions on current economic issues and real-world applications.
- Maintain student records and communicate progress with parents and school administration.
- Integrate digital tools, presentations,



and economic data sources into teaching.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field; higher education teaching experience preferred.
- Experience working with students in various settings including private schools or special education environments is advantageous.
- Proven classroom experience with effective lesson planning and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and educational administration is a plus.
