- 2 to 5 years of experience in Core network (EPC and IMS) performance monitoring.
Domain Knowledge:
- Core Architecture: Comprehensive knowledge of Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).
- Network Elements: Knowledge of HLR/HSS, MME, SGW/PGW, PCRF/PCF, OCS, and IMS elements (P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, TAS, ASBC).
- Familiarity with 5G Standalone (5GS) architecture and Service-Based Architecture (SBA) is a strong plus.
Competency Level:
- Protocol Expertise: Deep technical proficiency in signaling protocols including S1AP, Diameter, SIP, GTP, and HTTP/2 (REST/JSON).
- Observability & Automation: Proven experience with network protocol analyzers (Wireshark) and up-to-date performance monitoring platforms (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Analytical Proficiency: Data manipulation and visualization skills using SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), or R to derive actionable network insights.
- Cloud-Native Readiness: Experience working with virtualized network functions (VNF)
and containerized network functions (CNF).
- Technical Communication: Ability to translate technical performance data into business-relevant reports and cross-functional recommendations.
Required Skill Set:
- Optimization & Improvement:
- Identify and implement performance optimization strategies to enhance Packet/IMS core KPI's
- Participate in the evaluation and identification of new KPI/counter.
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis:
- Investigation and resolution of performance issues impacting voice and data services related KPI's
- Project & Vendor Management:
- During project phase support in PM HOTO.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations and optimization guidelines.
- Support in 24/7 Operation work.
- Scripting & Automation:
- Utilize scripting languages (Python, Bash) to automate routine performance monitoring tasks, log parsing, and report generation
