Job Summary

The Junior Chemist is responsible for performing routine chemical testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, recording test results, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Perform routine chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and standard solutions as per laboratory procedures.
- Conduct physical and chemical tests according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record, analyze, and maintain accurate laboratory test results and reports.
- Assist in calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is clean and in proper working condition.
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory safety procedures.
- Handle chemicals safely and ensure proper storage and disposal of chemical waste.
- Report any abnormal test results or equipment issues to the Senior Chemist.
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support corrective actions.
- Maintain laboratory records, logbooks, and documentation as per ISO/IATF requirements.




- Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory chemicals, glassware, and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments when required.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma/B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or a related field.
- Freshers or 1–3 years of laboratory experience are preferred.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as pH meter, conductivity meter, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, titration equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹9,625.68 - ₹37,265.86 per month
