Job Title: Purchase Head

Job Summary

Responsible for overall procurement activities including sourcing, vendor management, purchase planning, cost control, and timely availability of raw materials, packing materials, and other supplies required for production and operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of raw materials, packing materials, and consumables.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and negotiate prices and terms.
- Ensure timely purchasing as per production and inventory requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
- Approve purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
- Coordinate with production, stores, QA, QC, and accounts departments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GMP,



and procurement procedures.
- Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.

Qualification

Graduate / Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Science, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience

5–10 years in purchase or procurement, preferably in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or manufacturing industry.

Required Skills

Vendor management, negotiation, procurement planning, inventory control, ERP/MS Excel, communication, and team management.

Pharma Industry Experience Mandatory
