We are looking for a Purchase Officer with hands-on experience in the steel trading/fabrication industry to manage procurement of raw materials (coils, plates, sections) and consumables. The ideal candidate will coordinate with mills, dealers, and internal stores to ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and negotiate with steel suppliers (JSW/SAIL/JSPL and other vendors)
- Track and place purchase orders based on production/inventory needs
- Maintain vendor records, price comparisons, and delivery schedules
- Coordinate with stores/warehouse (Manali Godown) for stock reconciliation
- Follow up on payments, invoices, and GST documentation with vendors
- Prepare purchase MIS reports for management

Requirements:

- 2–5 years of purchase/procurement experience specifically in the steel industry (mandatory)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Tamil/Hindi a plus
- Working knowledge of Tally/ERP systems preferred
- Robust negotiation and vendor management skills
- Basic Excel proficiency

Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month, based on experience

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
