Job Description : Stockist / Inventory Executive

Company: VTR Industries Pvt. Ltd.
Department: Stores & Inventory
Location: Kharagpur, West Bengal
Reports To: Plant Manager / Operations Manager

Position Summary:

The Stockist / Inventory Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely receipt and issue of materials, monitoring stock levels, and supporting uninterrupted production by maintaining optimum inventory. The role requires close coordination with the Purchase, Production, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams to ensure efficient inventory management.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management:

- Maintain accurate records of raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure inventory availability for production.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, damaged, or obsolete inventory.

Material Receipt & Issue:

- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders and Delivery Challans.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward stock movement.
- Ensure correct labeling and storage of all inventory items.

Stock Control:

- Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely replenishment.
- Reduce inventory shortages, excess stock, and wastage.
- Ensure proper storage conditions and housekeeping in the warehouse.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.




- Maintain stock registers and inventory records.
- Generate inventory reports for management review.
- Assist during internal and external audits.

Compliance & Safety:

- Follow company inventory policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper material handling and workplace safety.
- Maintain 5S standards within the warehouse and stores.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of inventory and warehouse management.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Educational Qualification:

- 12th pass /Graduate in any discipline
- Diploma or certification in Inventory/Warehouse Management is an added advantage.

Experience

- 6 months -1 year of experience in inventory, stores, warehouse, or stock management.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry will be preferred.
- Freshers with strong knowledge of inventory management may also apply.
