Role Description :

The Job Holder will be responsible for configuring current system functionality, providing system

maintenance & enhancements in SAP projects to ensure that the initiatives and internal

customers are provided full lifecycle support, from implementation through on-going support.

This person will be responsible for coding, configurations unit testing, bug-fixes a day-to-day

basis.

An exceptional knowledge of SAP Software Development, ABAP, CAP, RAP, state-of-the-art

interface technologies and architectural understanding is therefore required to be able to

properly exploit the Platform to deliver maximum business value.

Develop (design, code, correct, document) programs from agreed specifications under

consideration of architecture guidelines

Ensure delivery of maximum business value through the exploitation of SAP Standard

functionality and configuration objects to achieve the desired end result

Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues

and providing timely solutions

Adhere to security and control, and change control processes

Design, develop and maintain the SAP Systems to meet support and/or project

requirements.

Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate

business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code via

controlled design documents.

Work with IT support teams (DBA, server teams) to ensure support and project

requirements are developed and successfully implemented





Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application

changes meet technical specifications.

Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle

Work with business team to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration

testing

Provide Solution Delivery Methodology artefacts associated with application

components.

Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development

Previous Experience & Qualifications

Education/Qualification:

A degree in Business Administration, Business Information

Systems or IT Consulting or equivalent or a related discipline;

or equivalent work experience

Knowledge &

Experience:

5 -6 years of SAP modules such as SAP FI

Significant experience of Service Management, Change and

Release Management and Quality Management techniques

gained through IT program / project delivery and in an IT

support environment.

Experience of working within multi-location teams.
