Job Title: Sales and Service Application Engineer
Location: Mumbai (with travel across assigned territory)

Role Overview
The Sales and Service Application Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales cycle and post-sales service of process instrumentation and automation products. The role combines application engineering expertise with customer-facing sales and service support, ensuring the right solutions are proposed, installed, commissioned, and maintained for industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide pre-sales technical and application support for flow, level, pressure, temperature, and analytical instruments
● Understand customer process requirements and recommend suitable product/application solutions
● Prepare techno-commercial proposals, product specifications, and datasheets
● Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and site surveys
● Carry out installation, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of instruments at customer sites
● Handle after-sales service, warranty support, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs)
● Coordinate with sales team to identify new business opportunities and support order closure
● Liaise with principal companies/OEMs for technical clarifications and escalations
● Maintain service records, prepare service reports, and track customer complaints to closure
● Train customers and internal teams on product usage and maintenance best practices
● Track market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback for continuous improvement
Key Skills & Competencies
● Strong understanding of industrial processes, instrumentation, and automation systems
● Ability to interpret P&IDs;, technical specifications, and loop diagrams
● Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, and calibration of field instruments
● Good communication, customer-handling, and presentation skills
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
● Self-driven, organized, and willing to travel extensively for site visits and service calls
Qualifications
● Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical, or related engineering field
Experience
● 1–5 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or service of industrial instrumentation/automation products
● Freshers with strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn may also be considered
