Job Description – Fundraising & Partnerships Officer

Organization Background

Neonates Foundation of India (NFI) is a Section 8 non-profit organisation registered under the Companies Act, committed to reducing neonatal mortality and morbidity in underserved communities across India. Through evidence-based programs, community outreach, and advocacy, NFI works to ensure that underprivileged newborns receive equitable, dignified, and life-saving care from the very first breath.

Position: Fundraising & Partnerships Officer

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Reporting To: Chief Catalyst

Nature of Employment: Full-time (In-person role; travel for donor and partner meetings, events, and networking activities as required)

Role Overview

The Fundraising & Partnerships Officer will support the implementation of Neonates Foundation of India's fundraising and partnership initiatives by identifying prospective donors, building relationships, preparing proposals and presentations, coordinating fundraising activities, and maintaining an active donor pipeline.

Working closely with the Chief Catalyst, the role will contribute to developing partnerships with corporates, CSR teams, foundations, trusts, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), and other stakeholders to mobilise resources and advance NFI's mission of ensuring that no newborn is denied life-saving care due to financial constraints.

This role requires a proactive, organised, and relationship-oriented professional who enjoys engaging with people, takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, and is committed to delivering measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Donor Prospecting & Partnership Development

- Research and identify prospective corporate CSR partners, foundations, trusts, HNIs, individual donors, and other funding opportunities aligned with NFI's mission.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective donors and partners.
- Support outreach through emails, calls, networking events, and stakeholder meetings.
- Coordinate meetings for the Chief Catalyst and assist in preparing presentations, partnership proposals,



and pitch materials.
- Ensure timely follow-up with prospects and maintain momentum across the donor pipeline.

2. Donor & Partnership Management

- Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective donors and partners.
- Coordinate regular communication through acknowledgements, updates, newsletters, and impact stories.
- Support donor visits, partner meetings, and engagement activities.
- Assist in strengthening donor retention and long-term engagement initiatives.

3. Proposal Development & Fundraising Initiatives

- Assist in preparing grant proposals, concept notes, funding applications, sponsorship proposals, and donor reports.
- Coordinate with programme and finance teams to gather information, budgets, and impact data required for proposals and reporting.
- Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, donor engagement events, and awareness initiatives.
- Work with communication partners to support digital fundraising and donor engagement activities.

4. Donor Database, Reporting & Administration

- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date donor database (CRM) and fundraising records.
- Record donor interactions, proposals, commitments, donations received, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare periodic fundraising pipeline and activity reports for review by the Chief Catalyst.
- Maintain organised documentation of donor correspondence, proposals, agreements, and reports.
- Support compliance with donor reporting requirements and applicable statutory guidelines.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, business development,



sales, key account management, relationship management, CSR, or a related role.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work towards measurable targets.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
