Role Overview

We are looking for a commercially focused finance professional to manage and analyse Modern

Trade and Quick Commerce channel commercials from a finance perspective. The role will focus on

profitability analysis, trade spend controls, debit note reconciliations, scheme assessment and channel

performance analytics.

This role is part of the Finance team and is not a Sales Operations role. The candidate will work

closely with Sales, Key Accounts and Accounts teams to drive commercial control and profitability

improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial & Margin Analysis

 Chain-wise margin analysis and profitability tracking.

 Customer-wise commercial evaluation (for example, pre-post schemes/offers assessment

chain level/SKU level.

 Analyse impact of discounts, pricing and trade spends on profitability.

 Monitor gross margin performance across MT and Quick Commerce channels.

 Prepare profitability analysis by customer, SKU and category.

 Chain-wise SKU analysis including sales trends, margin trends and product mix.

 Identify slow-moving, low-margin and high-growth SKUs in each chain and regions.

 Support management with actionable commercial insights and business analysis.

2. Debit Note & Claims Reconciliation

 Chain-wise reconciliation of debit notes, claims and deductions.

 Validate customer deductions as per approved commercial agreements.

 Track pending claims recoverable from customers/platforms.

 Coordinate with Sales and Accounts teams for dispute resolution and closure.





 Identify leakages and excess commercial claims.

3. Scheme & Promotion Assessment

 Chain-wise scheme analysis and ROI assessment.

 Analyse effectiveness of trade promotions and visibility spends in various chains.

 Monitor scheme utilization and commercial budget consumption.

 Support finance controls around trade spends and accruals.

4. MIS & Business Reporting

 Prepare channel-wise MIS and management dashboards.

 Track sales vs margin performance across MT and Q-Commerce channels.

 Assist in budgeting, forecasting and monthly business reviews.

 Support CFO with commercial and profitability analysis.

Qualification & Experience

 CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com or equivalent qualification.

 2–3 years of relevant experience in FMCG / Retail / Ecommerce / D2C industry.

Technical Skills and Competencies

 Strong understanding of MT and Quick Commerce commercials and arrangement.

 Experience in trade spends, debit notes, claims and reconciliations.

 Ability to monitor receivables and coordinate with customers for timely payment realization.

 Good analytical and commercial understanding of FMCG/D2C business.

 Advanced Excel skills and strong MIS reporting capability.

 Knowledge of SAP / ERP systems preferred.

 Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

 Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills

 Detail-oriented with strong ownership mindset.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced business setting.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
