Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Reporting Engineer (Power BI) to design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks, with experience building business-critical dashboards and paginated reports. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver scalable, high-performance reporting solutions that support modern cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards for business users.
- Build and maintain Power BI Paginated Reports for operational and enterprise reporting requirements.
- Develop reusable semantic models and datasets to support self-service business intelligence.
- Create effective SQL queries, stored procedures, and T-SQL scripts to support reporting needs.
- Integrate Power BI with Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, and other enterprise data sources.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure accurate, reliable, and high-quality data for reporting.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and visualization solutions.
- Optimize Power BI reports, datasets, and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Implement report security using Row-Level Security (RLS) and follow data governance best practices.
- Monitor report usage, troubleshoot issues,



and provide ongoing support for reporting solutions.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, reports, data models, and reporting processes.
- Participate in cloud data modernization initiatives and support migration of reporting workloads.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Reporting Engineer, Power BI Developer, or BI Developer.
- Hands-on experience developing business-critical Power BI dashboards and Paginated Reports.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
- Strong experience with SQL Server and advanced T-SQL development.
- Experience working with Snowflake and Databricks as enterprise data platforms.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and reporting best practices.
- Experience creating interactive visualizations, KPIs, scorecards, and executive dashboards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills





- Experience with cloud data modernization and migration projects.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star schema design.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, SSIS, dbt, or similar data integration platforms.
- Experience optimizing SQL queries, Power BI datasets, and report performance.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
- Knowledge of cloud security, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL Database, or Azure Analysis Services.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployment.
- Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines and workspace administration.
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or other relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics is an added advantage.
