About the Opportunity CMC Group is scaling up its Sewing Threads division as a core growth engine alongside its established mattress ticking fabric business, which continues to explore and expand across other fabric categories as well. We're looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial General Manager to take full ownership of marketing, operations, and business growth for this division — building it into a professionally run, finance-disciplined, and rapidly scaling business unit.

What You'll Own

- End-to-end leadership of the Sewing Threads division — sales & marketing, operations, and P&L; accountability
- Driving B2B sales — building direct relationships with garment manufacturers, exporters, and institutional buyers
- Developing and positioning the Threads brand, building its market presence and identity
- Securing nominations/approvals as an accredited supplier with leading garment brands
- Driving business development: new accounts, distributor/dealer networks, and export opportunities
- Scaling production and operational capacity in line with growth targets, working closely with the plant team
- Developing a comprehensive future expansion plan — new markets, capacity building, and growth roadmap
- Financial oversight of the division — budgeting, costing, margins, and coordination with accounts & finance
- Building and leading a team as the division scales; setting up systems, SOPs, and reporting structures




- Acting as the key link between marketing, operations, and finance functions to ensure disciplined, profitable growth

What We're Looking For

- Prior experience with a well-established, reputed textile / yarn / threads company strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of the sewing threads business — products, customers, and market dynamics
- Demonstrated experience scaling a business unit or division — revenue growth, team building, and operational maturity
- Strong grounding in marketing and operations, with comfort around numbers, budgets, and financial discipline
- A young, high-energy professional ready to commit long-term and grow with the organization
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across customers, vendors, and internal teams
