Job description - Senior Hardware Design Engineer - IoT Firmware & Hardware PCB

Location: Bangalore

Position: Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Education: BE/ B.Tech, Electrical degree/diploma from a recognized technical institute.

Interview Mode: The interview will be conducted face-to-face at our Bengaluru office.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. As an electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control systems, wiring, lighting, and other electrical components across residential, commercial, or industrial facilities. You should be capable of reading technical blueprints and executing projects from scratch through to commissioning.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Schematic capture and PCB layout using KiCad.
- Multi-layer PCB design with signal integrity considerations
- Power delivery network (PDN) design, decoupling strategies
- EMI/EMC compliance design — conducted/radiated emissions mitigation
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)
- Communication Protocols
- Hardware-level mastery of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-485, Modbus
- RF hardware design: LoRa, Zigbee, BLE, LTE-M, NB-IoT antenna design and matching
- Experience with cellular modules (SIM7600, EC21, BG96, etc.)

Power Management

- Battery management system (BMS) design — Li-Ion, LiPo, LiFePO4
- Low-power design: sleep modes, duty cycling, energy harvesting (solar, piezo)
- PMIC selection and integration, LDO vs switching regulator tradeoffs
- Power budgeting across full system lifecycle

Sensors & Peripherals

- Integration of analog sensors with ADC front-end design (filtering, amplification)
- Experience with MEMS sensors: accelerometers, gyroscopes, pressure, temperature




- Calibration techniques and compensation algorithms
- High-speed interfaces: USB, Ethernet PHY

Testing & Validation

- Hardware bring-up: JTAG/SWD debug, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer
- Writing hardware test plans and conducting DVT/EVT/PVT cycles
- Failure analysis and root cause investigation
- Leading compliance testing (CE, FCC, UL, RoHS)

Leadership

- Defining hardware architecture for new products from scratch
- Reviewing junior engineers' schematics and layouts
- Vendor and component selection; BOM cost optimization
- Collaboration with firmware and mechanical teams
- Multi-layer PCB design with signal integrity considerations
- Power delivery network (PDN) design, decoupling strategies
- EMI/EMC compliance design — conducted/radiated emissions mitigation
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)
- Communication Protocols
- Hardware-level mastery of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-485, Modbus

Mandatory Skills:

- BE/ B.Tech, Electrical degree/diploma from a recognized technical institute.
- 4+ years of experience in Embedded Technology
- Understanding of safety protocols and electrical code
- knowledge of power tools and testing instruments
- Physically fit and willing to work at sites/factory locations
- Ability to work independently and handle physically demanding tasks.




- Experience in handling both analog and digital systems is an advantage.
- Motor power control circuits design/modification.
- Equipment calibration, control panels wiring, and PLC knowledge preferred.

Good-to-Have Skills:

- Hands-on experience with automation projects, preferably in food automation, industrial automation, or robotics.
- Knowledge of electromechanical components and basic electrical systems (e.g., sensors, wiring, multimeter usage).
- Familiarity with integration and troubleshooting of automated systems.

Pay: ₹550,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
