Job Description – Finance & Accounts Manager

Job Title: Finance & Accounts Manager
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Managing Director / General Manager / CFO

Job Summary:
The Finance & Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the complete accounting and financial functions of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely statutory compliance, effective cash-flow management, budgeting, internal controls, and coordination with auditors, banks, vendors, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review profit & loss statements, balance sheets, trial balances, and other financial reports.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of bank, customer, vendor, and general ledger accounts.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.

2. Budgeting & Financial Planning

- Prepare annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual expenses against budgets and identify significant variances.
- Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations for cost control.
- Assist management in financial planning and business decision-making.

3. Cash & Bank Management

- Monitor daily cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Manage bank transactions, payments, fund transfers, and bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate with banks regarding accounts, facilities, guarantees, loans, and other financial matters.




- Ensure adequate funds are available for operational requirements.

4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely compliance with applicable GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
- Review GST returns, TDS returns, tax payments, and related reconciliations.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and statutory authorities.
- Maintain proper documentation for statutory compliance and assessments.

5. Audit & Internal Controls

- Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and other audits.
- Prepare schedules, supporting documents, and explanations required by auditors.
- Develop and maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Identify financial risks, irregularities, and control weaknesses and recommend corrective measures.

6. Vendor & Customer Accounts

- Monitor vendor payments and outstanding receivables.
- Review customer credit limits and outstanding balances.
- Resolve discrepancies relating to invoices, payments, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Ensure timely closure of accounts and reconciliation of outstanding balances.

7. Payroll & Employee-Related Finance

- Coordinate salary processing and payroll-related accounting.
- Verify payroll deductions, statutory contributions, and employee reimbursements.
- Ensure timely payment of PF, ESI, TDS,



and other applicable deductions.

8. MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare periodic MIS reports for management.
- Provide information on revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, receivables, payables, and financial performance.
- Analyze financial data and highlight areas requiring management attention.

9. Team Management

- Supervise and guide the accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor work quality and deadlines.
- Review accounting entries and ensure proper documentation.
- Train team members on accounting procedures and compliance requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Timely completion of statutory filings and payments.
- Reduction in outstanding receivables.
- Effective cash-flow management.
- Accuracy of bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Budget adherence and cost control.
- Audit compliance and reduction of audit observations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- M.Com / MBA Finance / CA / CMA qualification is an advantage.
- Typically 5–10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, depending on the organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with Tally, ERP/accounting software, MS Excel, and MIS reporting.
- Robust analytical, numerical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential financial information and work under deadlines.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
