Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Mess In-Charge to manage daily mess and hostel food operations smoothly. The candidate should ensure food quality, hygiene, discipline, manpower coordination, and proper maintenance of the mess facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily mess and canteen operations.
- Monitor food quality, taste, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate with cooking staff, suppliers, and hostel teams.
- Maintain attendance and shift schedules of mess employees.
- Ensure timely food preparation and serving.
- Monitor stock, grocery consumption, and inventory records.
- Reduce food wastage and control operational costs.
- Handle employee/student complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports related to mess operations.
Required Skills
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Basic knowledge in MS Excel and reporting.
- Ability to manage manpower and vendor coordination.
- Problem-solving and team handling skills.
- Knowledge of hostel or industrial canteen operations is preferred.
