Job Description

Work Mode: 5 days WFO/Hybrid/Remote

Roles & Responsibilities

- Review and ensure accuracy of fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041) for estates, trusts, and related schedules (K-1s, etc.).
- Perform detailed technical review of complex trust and estate tax computations, including distributable net income (DNI), income distribution deductions, and beneficiary allocations.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of US federal and state tax regulations governing estates, trusts, and fiduciary taxation.
- Stay updated on legislative changes, IRS guidance, and best practices related to Form 1041 filings.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of tax associates and seniors on 1041 preparation and review processes.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team knowledge on estate and trust taxation.
- Serve as a key point of contact for US-based clients and stakeholders regarding 1041 engagements.
- Address complex client queries and provide timely, accurate tax advice.
- Manage workflow, assignment of returns, and ensure timely delivery of all 1041 engagements.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to minimize errors and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., 1040, Gift & Estate Tax, Tax Planning) to ensure seamless service delivery.




- Liaise with US onshore teams for clarification, escalation, and resolution of complex issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the 1041 review function.
- Contribute to the development of internal checklists, templates, and review guidelines.
- Ensure all filings comply with IRS regulations and firm policies.
- Identify and escalate potential compliance risks or issues to senior leadership.
