Welding engineer should manage existing procedures and improve all welding activities in the yard. He should have

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of Welding processes & consumables
- Codes & standards

- Relationship Building

He should support production

- To manage project schedules by timely providing welding documents (WPS, WML, Weld sequence etc.)




- On implementation of new weld procedures through coordination with all stake holders.
- Troubleshooting welding defects and production issues in office

He should support Design by providing technical inputs to optimize efforts put in for welding by analyzing following

- Weld schedule requirements.

- Joint configuration with best suitable welding process.

- Weld Mechanization opportunities

Additionally he should support Procurement team by providing Vendor data with approved brand details, ensure seamless supply chain operations for project requirements & address quality issues of consumables.
