A Site Engineer is a mid-level professional responsible for the operational management of a construction site. While a trainee focuses on learning, a Site Engineer takes direct ownership of execution, quality, safety, and sub-contractor management to ensure the project finishes on time and within budget.
Core Responsibilities
- Execution Management: Overseeing daily construction activities and setting out the works according to drawings.
- Sub-contractor Supervision: Assigning daily tasks to labor crews, monitoring progress, and resolving site disputes.
- Material Procurement: Tracking material inventory, ordering supplies, and verifying incoming deliveries for quality.
- Quality & Checking: Conducting rigorous inspections of reinforcement steel, formwork, and concrete pouring.
- Billing Assistance: Verifying subcontractor measurements and assisting the billing team with invoice validation.
- Health & Safety:
Implementing rigorous on-site safety standards to maintain a zero-incident work setting.
Key Requirements & Technical Skills
- Experience: Typically requires 1 to 5 years of active on-site construction experience.
- Education: A Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Technical Tools: High proficiency in utilizing Total Station / AutoLevel surveying instruments and advanced MS Excel.
- Blueprint Mastery: Advanced ability to read structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) layouts.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing large labor forces and handling intense high-pressure situations.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
