BILLING INTERIOR FIT OUTS & BOQ FILLING

An Interior Billing Engineer primarily prepares, verifies, and submits client and subcontractor bills for interior design and construction projects, ensuring accuracy against contract terms, drawings, and site measurements. Key responsibilities include generating Bills of Quantities (BOQs), conducting rate analysis, reconciling materials, coordinating with site teams for verification, managing financial records, and ensuring timely payments and client approvals for interior finishing work. Core Responsibilities

- Billing and Invoicing:
- Prepares Running Account (RA) bills for clients and subcontractors based on project progress.
- Ensures all calculations and quantities are accurate and conform to drawings and specifications.
- Quantity Surveying and Estimation:
- Prepares Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and estimate costs for interior materials and work.
- Identifies and prepares bills for extra items not covered in the original tender.
- Site Verification and Measurements:
- Conducts site visits to physically check the work done and verify quantities against measurement books.
- Collaborates with site engineers and project managers to ensure measurements are accurate and documented.
- Material Reconciliation:




- Tracks and reconciles materials (like cement, steel, or free-issue materials) to monitor consumption and wastage.
- Prepares reconciliation statements and handles recoveries for excess consumption or faulty work.
- Contract and Rate Management:
- Reviews and understands contract terms to ensure billing compliance.
- Performs rate analysis and applies correct rates as per project agreements or schedules.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintains meticulous records of all billing activities, progress, and associated documents.
- Prepares financial reports, MIS reports, and other documentation as required by management.
- Client and Subcontractor Coordination:
- Serves as a key point of contact between the client, site team, and accounts department.
- Obtains client approvals for bills and forwards them for payment processing.
