Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HMC Setter cum Programmer to independently program, set up, and operate Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) for precision machining of engineering components. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of CNC programming, fixture setup, tooling, process optimization, and quality inspection while achieving production targets with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-Code and M-Code.
- Perform complete HMC machine setup, including fixture mounting, alignment, work offsets, and tool setting.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and GD&T; specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and obtain quality approval before production.
- Monitor machining operations and make program or tooling corrections as required.
- Perform in-process inspections using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
- Optimize cycle time, improve machine utilization, and reduce rejection and rework.

Required Skills

- Robust hands-on experience in HMC machine setting and CNC programming.
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Mazatrol, or Heidenhain controllers.
- Expertise in G-Code, M-Code, tool offset setting, fixture alignment, and pallet changer operations.




- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;
- Proficiency in precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and process optimization.
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, or PowerMill is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, fixture, and programming issues.
- Maintain setup sheets, production reports, tooling records, and CNC program backups.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to meet production schedules.
- Follow 5S, TPM, and all company safety and quality standards.

Qualification

- ITI (Machinist / Turner / Tool & Die Maker), Diploma, or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in HMC programming and machine setting.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in automotive, aerospace, precision engineering, valve, pump, heavy engineering, or tool room industries.
- Hands-on experience with 4th-axis machining, pallet changers, and rotary tables will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
