CNC Setter / Programmer – Job Requirements

Position

CNC Setter cum Programmer

Experience

- 5 to 10 years of experience in CNC programming /manual , machine setting, and production machining.
- Experience in CNC machining environments preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify CNC programs for machining operations.
- Perform complete machine setup including:
- Tool setting
- Offset corrections
- Job alignment
- Conduct prove-out and first-piece inspection.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Select cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Optimize cycle time and machining productivity.
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues.
- Maintain quality standards during production.
- Coordinate with production and quality departments.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of:
- CNC programming
- Machine setup and operation
- Fanuc / Mitsubishi controls
- Cutting tools and inserts
- Fixture handling
- GD&T; and drawing interpretation




- Ability to independently handle production jobs.
- Knowledge of VMC machining preferred.

Software Knowledge

Experience in any of the following:

- Mastercam
- NX CAM
- SolidCAM

Machine Knowledge

- Experience handling:
- CNC Turning machines
- 2-axis

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- CNC programming certification preferred

Preferred Industry Background

- Automotive manufacturing
- Precision machining
- Construction equipment components
- Couplings and transmission components
- Tool room & heavy engineering

Preferred Additional Qualities

- Ability to work independently on shop floor
- Leadership and operator support skills
- Knowledge of measuring instruments
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting capability

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
