Job Description

Category Manager is the domain expertise role(Subject Matter Expertise (SME)) to handle the Procurement for the identified items across all Vertical and BUs under Central Procurement.
Procurement:
The incumbent will be having the rich experience in handling all type of materials under the Electrical/Mechanical items and finalize the orders >Rs.25 lacs for the identified items.
Responsible for driving the Procurement savings by making the Procurement Strategies and usage of appropriate levers like Reverse Auction, Sealed Bid, TOD concepts, Should cost analysis, tear down pricing etc. as applicable to enhance savings.
Establish the RATE CONTRACT for the identified items as per SOP.




Co-ordinate with BU Leads for Procurement Plan and do the consolidation of items and draw out Procurement Strategy and discuss with Head Procurement to finalize the contracts.
Participate in the review meetings conducted by Business Head along with BU Leads.
Attend Fortnightly Meeting with Head Procurement to discuss on the critical issues/High value negotiations etc.
Responsible for meeting the target dates as per PDM.
Send the monthly MIS to Head Procurement as per the std. template.
Bidding Support:
Provide Bidding support for high value items
