Job Summary:

The Pre-Nursery Teacher is responsible for providing a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children between the ages of 2 and 3 years can explore, learn, and grow. The teacher will implement age-appropriate educational activities to foster social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development, in accordance with the school's curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

- Childcare and Supervision:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap time.
- Provide individual attention to each child as needed.
- Educational Activities:
- Plan and execute age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning (such as art, music, storytelling, and physical activities).
- Encourage socialization, sharing, and teamwork through structured group activities.
- Support early literacy and numeracy skills by incorporating basic concepts through fun games and activities.
- Emotional and Social Development:
- Help children develop social skills like empathy, patience, and cooperation.
- Assist with the emotional development of children, helping them to manage separation anxiety, express feelings, and develop self-regulation skills.
- Communication with Parents:
- Regularly update parents on their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain open lines of communication regarding any issues or milestones.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom workplace.
- Ensure that all materials are safe, age-appropriate, and well-maintained.




- Establish basic classroom rules and routines to promote a positive learning environment.
- Health and Hygiene:
- Assist with handwashing, feeding, and toileting as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, following health and safety guidelines.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school events as required.

Qualifications:

- Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children, especially in a nursery or preschool setting, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles, particularly at the toddler stage.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of the needs of young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents.
- Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Other Requirements:
- Must pass a background check as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
