Working in fertility care differs from general retail or hospital pharmacy due to the specialized nature of the treatments:
- Medication Dispensing: Accurately preparing delicate and highly timed medications like gonadotropins, hCG triggers, progesterone, and estrogen.
- Patient Counselling: Teaching patients how to store (often refrigerated), mix, and self-inject hormonal treatments, while explaining potential side effects.
- Timing & Coordination: Collaborating closely with doctors and embryologists to ensure medications are available exactly when needed for exact retrieval and transfer schedules.
- Inventory Management:
Handling high-value cold-chain inventory safely and managing stock levels efficiently using systems like ABC/VED analysis.
Job Requirements
- Education: A registered degree or diploma in pharmacy, such as a B.Pharm or D.Pharm
- Licensure: A valid, active registration license from the local state pharmacy council is mandatory.
- Experience: While some major chains recruit freshers, most premium IVF clinics prefer 1–3 years of experience in hospital or fertility environments
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
