We are a fast-growing startup building next-generation learning solutions in the EdTech space. As we continue to expand, we value speed, accountability, and operational excellence. We are seeking a hands-on, meticulous Finance professional to own our financial reporting, month-end closures, and audit workflows.

Key Responsibilities1. Month-End & Year-End Financial Close

- Drive the entire month-end and year-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate closing of books.
- Prepare and post critical journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and provisions in accordance with Ind AS / Indian GAAP.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany balances, revenue schedules, and balance sheet line items.
- Maintain fixed asset registers (FAR) and handle depreciation calculations under the Companies Act and Income Tax Act.

2. Audit Management & Compliance

- Act as the primary point of contact for Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, and Tax Auditors.
- Prepare comprehensive audit schedules, balance confirmations, and notes to accounts (P&L; and Balance Sheet).
- Resolve audit queries promptly to ensure smooth and clean audit completion within strict deadlines.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls,



accounting policies, and statutory regulations.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis

- Prepare monthly Trial Balance, P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Variance Analysis: Compare actual financial performance against budgets and prior periods, identifying key operational drivers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Tech, HR) to streamline vendor payments and expense tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: CA (Inter) / Qualified CA / M.Com / MBA in Finance.
- Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on experience in core accounting, financial closes, and external audit support (Startup or EdTech experience is a plus).
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong working knowledge of Ind AS / Indian GAAP and Schedule III presentation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Zoho Books, Tally, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data manipulation).
- Soft Skills:
- High ownership mindset with the ability to manage tight close schedules independently.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to interface with auditors and management.
- Adaptability to thrive in a quick-paced startup environment.
