Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Sourcing & Vendor Development

- Develop and manage vendors for CNC Machining, Turning, Fabrication, Welding, Sheet Metal, Laser Cutting, Bending, Surface Treatment, Heat Treatment, and Inspection Services.
- Source and coordinate outsourced manufacturing activities (approximately 60% of production requirements).
- Coordinate with the in-house manufacturing team for machining, fabrication, quality, and delivery activities (approximately 40% of production requirements).
- Understand engineering drawings, BOMs, GD&T;, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations, prepare cost comparisons, evaluate suppliers, and finalize sourcing decisions.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements with vendors.
- Release Purchase Orders and monitor order execution.
- Track raw material procurement, manufacturing progress, and supplier commitments.
- Identify and develop alternate suppliers to build a reliable vendor base.
- Support localization, value engineering, supplier development, and cost reduction initiatives.

Vendor Follow-up & Project Coordination

- Take ownership of outsourced manufacturing projects from RFQ to final delivery.
- Follow up with vendors daily regarding manufacturing progress.
- Obtain daily End-of-Day (EOD) photo updates from vendors for all active manufacturing jobs.
- Visit supplier facilities for production follow-up, vendor development, inspections, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Design / Quality / Production teams to ensure timely execution.
- Resolve manufacturing, supplier, quality, and delivery issues proactively.
- Escalate risks, delays,



and bottlenecks before they impact project timelines.

Dispatch & Logistics Coordination

- Coordinate dispatch of finished products to customers.
- Prepare Delivery Challans (DCs), Material Gate Passes (MGPs), and other dispatch documentation.
- Coordinate with the Accounts team to obtain invoices and ensure invoice copies accompany customer dispatches.
- Coordinate dispatches to vendors by preparing Delivery Challans, Material Gate Passes, and attaching relevant Purchase Order copies.
- Ensure all inward and outward material movements are properly documented and traceable.

Stores & Inventory Management

- Take complete ownership of material inward activities.
- Perform Goods Inward Receipt (GIR) documentation.
- Conduct incoming material verification and assist in incoming inspection.
- Update inventory records immediately upon receipt of materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory audits.
- Work with the Admin and Accounts teams to maintain a comprehensive master inventory database.
- Issue materials to internal teams only against approved Material Intake Request emails and ensure acknowledgment through signed issue registers.
- Manage material outward transactions with proper documentation, including Delivery Challans, Material Gate Passes, Purchase Orders, and invoices wherever applicable.

Quality & Manufacturing Support

- Assist Quality Engineers during inspection of components at supplier locations as well as in-house.
- Support preparation of inspection reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve quality concerns.
- Ensure supplied components meet drawing and quality requirements before acceptance.

Daily Operations & Team Coordination

- Participate in the daily Morning Operations Meeting and Technical Team Meeting.
- Present updates on:




- Procurement status
- Vendor development
- Material availability
- Stores status
- Dispatch status
- Inventory concerns
- Project risks
- Delivery commitments
- Work collaboratively with all departments to resolve issues quickly and support smooth project execution.
- Maintain procurement, stores, vendor, inventory, and project documentation accurately.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC Machining, Turning, Fabrication, Welding, Sheet Metal Manufacturing, Surface Treatment, and Precision Engineering Processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Good understanding of manufacturing workflows, production planning, procurement, and supply chain operations.
- Strong vendor development, supplier negotiation, follow-up, and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of dispatch documentation, inventory management, stores operations, and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple manufacturing projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience in Manufacturing Sourcing, Vendor Development, Procurement, SCM, Stores, or Production Coordination.
- Experience working with machining, fabrication, precision engineering, or manufacturing companies.
- Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, supplier audits, inspection reports, and quality documentation is an added advantage.
