Production Planning & Control (PPC) Executive / Manager

Position Overview:

The Production Planning & Control (PPC) Executive/Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring end-to-end production activities to ensure on-time shipment of garments. The role focuses on capacity planning, production scheduling, material availability, vendor coordination, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve delivery commitments while maintaining quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Capacity Management

- Develop and execute production plans based on customer orders and delivery commitments.
- Assess machinery, manpower, and production capacity to ensure realistic production schedules.
- Allocate garment styles across production lines to maximize efficiency and minimize style changeover losses.
- Balance production loads across factories and subcontractors.

2. Time & Action (T&A;) Management

- Prepare and maintain Time & Action (T&A;) calendars for every production order.
- Monitor milestone completion, including approvals, fabric availability, cutting, sewing, finishing, packing, and shipment.
- Ensure every activity is completed according to the approved production timeline.

3. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

- Plan and calculate raw material requirements based on tech packs and production forecasts.
- Monitor availability of yarn, fabric, trims, and accessories to avoid production interruptions.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely material availability.

4. Delivery & Shipment Management

- Take complete ownership of buyer shipment commitments.
- Ensure production is completed within agreed delivery schedules.
- Coordinate packing completion and shipment readiness with logistics teams.
- Manage shipment deviations, including approvals for excess or short shipments based on allowable tolerances.

5. Production Monitoring & Control





- Track daily and hourly production output against planned targets.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Monitor line efficiency, productivity, and production performance.

6. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

- Coordinate outsourced processes such as printing, embroidery, washing, and finishing.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of outsourced activities.
- Maintain smooth coordination with external vendors to avoid production delays.

7. Material Shortage & Inventory Control

- Monitor material shortages, excess inventory, and production consumption.
- Initiate top-up orders whenever shortages are identified.
- Optimize inventory utilization while minimizing material wastage.

8. Financial Coordination & Commercial Control

- Coordinate with the Accounts team for timely release of vendor and factory payments.
- Reconcile fabric and trim invoices against actual production consumption.
- Raise debit notes against suppliers for delayed deliveries, quality issues, shortages, or commercial discrepancies.
- Support cost-saving initiatives through better production planning and resource utilization.

9. Delivery Risk Management

- Continuously assess production risks that may impact delivery schedules.
- Develop recovery plans for delayed production activities.
- Escalate critical issues to management with recommended corrective actions.

10. Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Provide daily production status reports to Merchandising, Sourcing, and Management.
- Coordinate with Procurement,



Merchandising, Sampling, Quality, Production, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain accurate production dashboards, shipment trackers, and management reports.

11. Cost Optimization

- Minimize overtime, production bottlenecks, idle machine time, and expedited freight costs.
- Improve production efficiency through effective planning and scheduling.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) within the apparel or garment manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, production planning, capacity planning, and material management.
- Experience in Time & Action (T&A;) planning and Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in garment export or buying house operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and production efficiency tools.
- Experience handling multiple factories and vendor management.
- Familiarity with production dashboards and planning software.

Pay: ₹33,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
