About the Role

We are hiring a deeply skilled, systems-minded Senior Rust Developer to join our core backend and systems team in Kozhikode.

In this role, you will lead the architecture of high-throughput, memory-protected, and blazingly fast software layers. You will build mission-critical backend services, design concurrent networking protocols, and write low-latency interfaces connecting our physical systems to cloud engines and frontend dashboards. We are looking for someone who understands asynchronous execution at a compiler/runtime level, writes idiomatic Rust, and takes pride in mentoring junior systems engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Core Systems Architecture: Architect, build, and maintain mission-critical, low-latency microservices, async network services, and embedded systems interfaces in production Rust.
- Performance & Safety: Drive extreme code optimization for zero-cost abstractions, minimal memory overhead, zero dynamic allocations where critical, and deterministic execution times.
- Networking & Protocols: Build robust asynchronous gRPC, WebSocket, and custom binary protocol communication channels using modern runtimes (e.g., Tokio).
- API & System Design:



Design highly resilient APIs and data streaming infrastructure that bridge physical hardware telemetry with backend AI pipelines and frontend interfaces.
- Technical Leadership: Lead code reviews, define production Rust style/safety guidelines, establish CI/CD & benchmarking pipelines, and mentor junior systems developers.

Qualifications

- Experience: 3 to 6+ years of professional backend or systems engineering experience, with at least 2+ years of production experience in Rust.
- Education: B.Tech / BE / BCA / MCA / B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent deep systems programming background.
- Systems Depth: Deep mastery of fundamental Rust concepts—ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, interior mutability, custom traits, unsafe code boundaries, and error handling patterns.
- Concurrency & Async:



Hands-on expertise with asynchronous programming models in Rust (e.g., tokio, async-std), concurrency primitives, multithreading, and memory locks.
- Tooling & Environments: Expert knowledge of the cargo ecosystem, benchmarking tools (criterion), memory profiling, Linux environment internals, and Git/GitHub.

Preferred Qualifications (Huge Plus Points)

- Prior experience with low-level systems programming in C/C++, or embedded systems development (embedded-hal, microcontrollers).
- Experience with IPC (Inter-Process Communication), shared memory, WebAssembly (Wasm), or high-throughput message brokers (Kafka, NATS).
- An active GitHub profile showcasing production-grade Rust crates, open-source contributions, or performance-oriented tools.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, eBPF, or Linux kernel-level networking.
