We are looking to associate with an experienced Freelance Social Media & PR Manager who can partner with us on a project basis for high-profile government events across India. Deepali Designs
Experience
- 7-10 years in Social Media, Digital Communications or Public Relations
- Currently working as an independent freelancer or consultant
- Prior experience handling Government, PSU, Tourism, Infrastructure, Sports, Cultural or Large Public Events preferred
- Agency background will be an advantage
Role & Responsibilities
The selected professional will work closely with our leadership, creative, content and event execution teams to:
Social Media Strategy
- Develop complete social media strategy for each event
- Create platform-wise communication plans
- Recommend content buckets and storytelling formats
- Develop launch, build-up, live-event and post-event communication plans
- Prepare monthly/content calendars
- Recommend influencer collaborations wherever relevant
Campaign Conceptualisation
- Brainstorm campaign themes and hashtags
- Suggest engaging content ideas
- Develop audience engagement plans
- Recommend contests, interactive campaigns and digital activations
Creative Direction
Coordinate with graphic designers, video editors and content writers for:
- Prepare professional social media strategy presentations
- Present ideas confidently to clients and government officials
- Participate in strategy meetings whenever required
PR Strategy
- Develop media outreach strategy
- Identify relevant media publications
- Draft PR plans
- Coordinate with PR agencies where required
- Prepare:
- Press Releases
- Media Advisories
- Media Kits
- Event Notes
- Key Messaging Documents
Event-time Responsibilities
Support the team during event execution by:
- Supervising real-time content publishing
- Coordinating photographers and videographers
- Ensuring live coverage across platforms
- Monitoring engagement
- Managing quick approvals
Analytics & Reporting
- Track campaign performance
- Measure engagement and reach
- Prepare post-event reports
- Recommend improvements for future campaigns
Desired Skills
- Excellent English communication
- Solid presentation skills
- Understanding of government communication protocols
- Knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and YouTube
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and analytics tools
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong creative thinking and storytelling ability
