- Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day conduct of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to study protocols, timelines, and patient safety.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with local and international health authorities, Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), and ethics committees.
- Financial Oversight: Develop, manage, and monitor large departmental and study-specific budgets, negotiating contracts with pharmaceutical sponsors and device manufacturers.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical research coordinators, data managers, nurses, and administrative personnel.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with hospital leadership and principal investigators to expand the clinical trial portfolio and bring innovative therapies to the facility.
- Education:
Master’s degree or higher in life sciences, healthcare administration, nursing, or a related medical field (Doctorate or MD preferred).
- Experience: 8 to 10+ years of progressive clinical research experience, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role within a hospital or academic research setting.
- Certifications: Certified Clinical Research Qualified (CCRP) or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) designation is highly preferred.
