JOB PROFILE:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented PLC and SCADA Engineer for designing,
programming, testing, commissioning, and maintaining PLC-based control systems. The role
involves developing automation solutions,



troubleshooting control systems, and ensuring
reliable operation of industrial processes and equipment.

Designation: Assistant Engineer

Department: Power & Automation

Reports to: Senior Engineer

Location: Full Time On-Site, Howrah

Tasks:

- Develop PLC programs for industrial automation systems.

- Configure I/O modules, communication protocols, and networking.

- Modify existing PLC programs based on project requirements.

- Implement logic for safety, interlocks, and alarms.

- Design and configure SCADA & HMI screens

- Integrate PLC with SCADA systems

- Configure data logging and reporting functions

- Ensure proper alarm management and event logging

- Prepare operation manuals and technical documentation

- Develop I/O lists and control schematics, Prepare control philosophy documents

- Configure and maintain communication networks and protocols (e.g., Modbus, IEC-104,

OPC).

- Diagnose and resolve PLC and automation faults

- Integrate PLCs with third-party devices such as meters, sensors, and VFDs

- Knowledge on Ethernet Switches, Router and Firewall

- Knowledge on different type of communication Ethernet, Fiber optic, Serial RS232/RS485,

PLCC.

- Develop and maintain system documentation including architecture diagrams, wiring

schematics, and operational manuals.





- Knowledge on creating and reading Panel drawings/scheme

- Participate in system testing, commissioning, and validation activities.

- Monitor SCADA system performance and make improvements for reliability and

efficiency.

- Verifications of technical compliances of HW/SW systems

- Working with minimum supervision, execute assigned projects while working with other

engineering professionals in the team-based environment.

- Accountable for performing assigned tasks on projects within the scope and schedule. An

ability to learn new and varied protection and substation control technologies is essential.
- Continue developing skills and competencies by delivering more complex projects and

through participation in standard working groups and technical conferences.

- Achieve a high level of productivity.

- Travel Extensive to different locations

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, or

related field.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Function Block,

Structured Text)
- Proven experience in SCADA system development and maintenance.

- Familiarity with major PLC brands such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi,

etc.

- Understanding of electrical control systems and instrumentation

- Proficiency in SCADA platforms such as Aveva or Siemens WinCC.

- Strong understanding of RTU & SCADA programming (e.g., Siemens, Wago, Phoenix

Contact).
- Minimum Exp. 3 years of Design and Engineering

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
