The Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across the manufacturing facility. The role involves supervising sanitation teams, implementing cleaning schedules, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and company hygiene policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily cleaning and sanitation activities in production, warehouse, and utility areas.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and FSSAI hygiene requirements.
- Monitor personal hygiene practices of employees and contractors.
- Prepare, implement, and verify cleaning schedules and sanitation SOPs.
- Conduct routine hygiene inspections and maintain inspection records.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and dilution of cleaning chemicals.
- Coordinate pest control activities and maintain related documentation.
- Train hygiene staff and production employees on sanitation procedures.
- Verify sanitation records, checklists, and corrective actions.




- Ensure waste collection, disposal, and drainage systems are maintained hygienically.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Investigate hygiene-related non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain inventory of cleaning chemicals, PPE, and sanitation equipment.

Qualifications

- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience
- Knowledge of GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, and food safety standards is an advantage.
