Your work profile

- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2,CICS and IMS
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Perform coding, debugging, unit testing, and production support for applications.
- Work on batch and online processing systems
- Utilize File-AID for data analysis, debugging, and file handling




- Optimize existing programs for performance and efficiency
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Business Analysts, and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and best practices
- Support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT)

Key skills required:

- Robust experience in:
- - COBOL programming
- JCL (Job Control Language)
- DB2 (SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- CICS
- IMS (DB/DC) / CICS
- File-AID

- Good understanding of:
- - Mainframe architecture and environments
- Batch processing and scheduling tools
- Data structures and file handling on mainframes

- Experience in debugging and performance tuning
- Experience with mainframe modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with version control and change management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

- Education - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
