Key Responsibilities1. Brooding Management

- Manage chick placement and brooding operations as per company standards.
- Ensure proper brooding temperature, ventilation, humidity, and lighting.
- Monitor chick comfort and make timely environmental adjustments.
- Ensure adequate feeder and drinker space for all chicks.

2. Chick Health & Performance

- Monitor chick health, behaviour, feed intake, and water consumption daily.
- Ensure target body weight and uniformity are achieved.
- Record daily mortality and investigate abnormal losses.
- Coordinate with veterinarians for disease prevention and treatment.

3. Feed & Water Management

- Ensure timely availability of quality feed and clean drinking water.
- Monitor daily feed consumption and feed conversion.
- Prevent feed wastage and water leakage.
- Verify proper operation of feeding and watering systems.

4. Vaccination & Medication

- Implement vaccination and medication schedules as per company protocols.
- Maintain accurate vaccination and treatment records.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of vaccines and medicines.

5. Biosecurity & Hygiene

- Maintain strict farm biosecurity measures.
- Ensure proper sanitation of sheds, equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Control visitor access and follow disinfection procedures.
- Monitor rodent, insect, and pest control activities.

6. Labour Management

- Supervise farm workers engaged in brooding operations.
- Allocate daily work and monitor productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety and biosecurity procedures.
- Train staff on chick handling and brooding best practices.

7. Equipment & House Maintenance

- Ensure brooders, heaters, fans, drinkers, feeders, and ventilation systems are functioning properly.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Report equipment failures promptly.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily production and brooding records.
- Record mortality, feed consumption, body weight,



vaccination, medication, temperature, and water consumption.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.

9. Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, animal welfare standards, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in layer brooding or poultry farm operations.
- Experience in commercial layer farming is preferred.

Working Conditions

- Work is performed in commercial layer brooding houses.
- Exposure to poultry, dust, feathers, and varying environmental conditions.
- Requires walking, standing, lifting feed bags, and supervising field activities.
- May require weekend, holiday, and emergency duty.

Authority

- Supervise and allocate work to brooding staff.
- Implement daily brooding management decisions.
- Recommend corrective actions for chick health, environmental conditions, and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate with veterinary, maintenance, and farm management teams to achieve brooding targets.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
