Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) – Kolkata Branch is looking for some energetic youth for managing the household survey work of West Bengal in North Bengal, Howrah, 24 Parganas and Medinipur location. We prefer those candidates who have proven track record of working in a market research company only and have proven problem solving skills.

CMIE is India’s leading business information company since 1976. This company is renowned for its independent research and large-scale household surveys that provide critical insights into the Indian economy. We are expanding our Household Survey Division in Kolkata and are looking for energetic professionals to join us as Field Information Officer (FIO).

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Eligibility Criteria:-

Age: 25 – 33 years

Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline

Experience:

> 3–5 years in Market Research, Household Surveys, or related fields.

> Proven track record in team recruitment, training, and management across West Bengal

Key Responsibilities:-

> Recruit, train, and groom surveyors for Android-based household surveys

> Plan and monitor survey operations across assigned regions

> Ensure timely completion of survey projects with high-quality, accurate data

> Validate survey data through field visits and household calls





> Assist in data analysis and forecasting economic trends

> Conduct household surveys as part of the role

Required Skills:-

> Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

> Proficiency in solving field problems

> Fluency in English; ability to interact effectively with diverse communities

> Knowledge of Indian economy and financial markets

> Willingness to travel extensively across West Bengal
