About the Role The Commercial Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial management of the Project from contract award through project close-out in India. The role is accountable for protecting the company's commercial interests, maximizing project profitability, ensuring contractual compliance, and managing all commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure that contractual obligations are properly administered, commercial risks are effectively managed, and project financial performance is maintained.nnnKey Responsibilities Contract AdministrationnnnAdminister the EPC/Main Contract and all subcontract agreements.nnnInterpret contractual provisions and advise the project team on contractual rights and obligations.nnnMaintain comprehensive contractual records throughout the project.nnnEnsure compliance with all contractual requirements, milestones, and notice provisions.nnnMonitor contractual deliverables and key commercial obligations. Claims u0026 Dispute ManagementnnnIdentify, assess, prepare, and negotiate contractual claims.nnnDevelop and maintain a claims register.nnnPrepare Extension of Time (EOT), prolongation cost, disruption, acceleration, and additional cost claims where applicable.nnnEvaluate incoming claims from subcontractors and suppliers.nnnSupport dispute avoidance and resolution through negotiation and commercial strategies.nnnVariationnManagementnEstablish and maintain the project's Variation Register.nnnIdentify potential variations arising from design changes, client instructions, RFIs,



and site conditions.nnnPrepare and submit Variation Order (VO) quotations with appropriate commercial substantiation.nnnNegotiate variation pricing with clients and subcontractors.nnnEnsure timely agreement and certification of variations.nnnContractnCorrespondencenPrepare and issue all contractual notices in accordance with the contract.nnnDraft commercial letters relating to delays, changes, claims, payment, risk allocation, suspension, termination, and contractual compliance.nnnMaintain proper records of all project correspondence.nnnEnsure all contractual notifications are issued within the prescribed contractual timelines. Cost u0026 Budget ManagementnnnDevelop and maintain the project commercial budget.nnnMonitor project costs against approved budgets.nnnPrepare monthly cost reports, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections.nnnIdentify cost overruns and recommend mitigation measures.nnnWork closely with Finance to ensure accurate project financial reporting. Procurement u0026 Purchase Order ManagementnnnReview commercial terms during procurement.nnnPrepare and administer Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures.nnnEnsure procurement packages are commercially compliant.nnnSupport supplier and subcontractor negotiations.nnnMonitor subcontract commitments and expenditure.



Payment u0026 Commercial ReportingnnnReview subcontractor payment applications.nnnSupport client progress payment submissions.nnnMonitor payment status and outstanding receivables.nnnPrepare monthly commercial reports for management, including:nnnCost Report, Claims Register, Variation Register, Procurement Status, Budget Forecast, Risk Register, Cash Flow Forecast Commercial Risk ManagementnnnIdentify commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.nnnDevelop mitigation strategies.nnnMaintain and update the commercial risk register.nnnProvide recommendations to management on risk exposure and contractual strategies.nnnStakeholdernManagementnLiaise with the Client, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on commercial matters.nnnSupport project meetings by providing commercial updates and recommendations.nnnBuild and maintain positive working relationships while protecting the company's commercial interests. QualificationsnnnDegree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.nnnProfessional qualifications (RICS, AIQS, SISV, APQS, or equivalent) are advantageous. ExperiencennnMinimum 810 years of commercial management experience in EPC, industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data centre, oil u0026 gas, or infrastructure projects.nnnProven experience administering EPC or major construction contracts.nnnStrong track record innContract AdministrationnVariation ManagementnClaims Preparation and NegotiationnCost Control and Budget ManagementnnnProcurement and Subcontract ManagementnExperience with FIDIC, NEC, PSSCOC, or be .
