Technology built on Arm is all around us, from industrial and automotive applications, to the IoT, to the desktop and data centre. Wherever Computing Happens, we need to enable Arm by providing software solutions that interface higher-level software stacks with the hardware itself. The core Linux kernel team at Arm are looking for a strong SW applications developer and automation engineer to define and deliver modern processes to guarantee that Linux runs best on Arm.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside colleagues in the core arm64 Linux kernel team responsible for maintaining the upstream Linux port, and with the wider Linux community
- Design and develop recent software applications, tools, scripting and infrastructure to track performance of the Linux kernel on a wide variety of hardware and provide insights into optimization opportunities
- Identify key opportunities for improving efficiency and quality through automation, user experience and user interfaces
- Keep up to date with the latest tools,
methodologies and standard processes to ensure continuous improvement
- Where appropriate, drive opening sourcing and community adoption of developed solutions
Required Skills and Experience :
- Excellent Python programming skills
- Strong automation expertise with technologies such as Jenkins, Gitlab and Gerrit
- Experience of either functional or performance testing complex software stacks
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Desire and ability to work as part of a team
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, electronics or related field
Nice To Have Skills and Experience :
- Knowledge of data analytics, UX and website UI development
- SQL database and schema development experience
- Comfortable with statistics
