Role Description The Vice President - Database Administration Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise databases supporting the Fluid AI platform and other core systems, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security. Responsibilities include leading database administration teams, defining standards and best practices, managing capacity planning, and coordinating backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. The role also involves collaborating with product, engineering, and security teams to optimize data architecture, support application releases,



and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. The Vice President will contribute to long-term data strategy, mentor team members, and provide executive-level reporting on database performance, risks, and investment needs.
Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate database performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in Finance, Budgeting, and Accounting for managing technology spend, resource allocation, and cost optimization related to database infrastructure.
- Proven Strategic Planning capabilities to define database roadmaps, align data architecture with business goals, and support long-term platform growth.
- Extensive experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies, performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional technical teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong understanding of data security, compliance standards, backup strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with senior leadership, technical teams, and business units.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; senior-level experience in database administration or data engineering is highly preferred.
